Barrie isn't signing for that. Give him more term. I think you should just let him go. Also Coleman will need more money give him another mil at the very least. Saad we should sign for only 1 year. he could sign a 1x1 deal bet on himself get 30 goals 50+ points playing with the new great one and then cash out in fa getting a 4 year deal at around 6 mil. I think 5.5 mil for 4 years is too much. 4 mil would be fine if you insist in signing him. Hopkins is getting 6 mil 5,5 mil is too low. Larsson is getting 4 mil goddamit just give it too him don't act like a cheapskate giving him 3.75 mil. Or are the Edmonton Oilers obssessed with giving their right handed d's 3.75 mil.

Saad took 6 million x 1 this last contract it’s going to have to be close to that. Barrie likely won’t resign he’s probably worth 6.5x4. Coleman isn’t that great he’s got offensive production slightly better than Alex Chiasson. He needs the Kassian contract.

Maybe Coleman gets another 1M. but again, maybe we'll just get someone else for 3M given our cap. No way Saad signs for 1 year 4M. He's done enough and a team will give him some money. Nuge needs to take a discount. Yes he'll get 6M from a bad team, but if he really wants to stay, 5.5M is more than fair for a 2nd line left winger. I absolutely think Larsson gets 3.75 - 3.8. There's discussions around that number.

Pass on Barrie, spend the money on a proper 3rd pairing LHD like Koekkoek, give an extra $0.5MM-$1.0MM to Coleman, and use the remaining funds to keep a few spares around.

Another note - buying out Koski is absolutely doable and could give the Oilers the extra dough required to sign a 3C.

That said - I think this is pretty close to what the oilers will likely do (with the exception of signing Barrie, buying out Koski, and signing a 3rd LHD and 3C).

if it is not LTIR then you would be over the cap. Also, no one is getting any rest in this situation

Somehow other teams have done it with 20 skaters. I'm sure the Oilers can figure it out as well.
