I was wondering about that and I'd like someone to answer it. Let's say for instance Chicago acquires Kyle Quincey from NJ (no salary retaining). Does Chicago absorb the entire 1,250,000 cap hit of Quincey or only the remaining daily cap hit??

Only the remaining daily cap hit, calculated as follows: caphit/total days of season * days remaining
