To me it makes sense that if Dubas wants to go all in he will trade Andersen. He's been untrustworthy in the playoffs and carries a large salary that can be better spent elsewhere.
I think Dubas is willing to sell picks in this year's draft as the class as a whole has less potential.
Getting that much salary retained in both trades doesn't hurt the other teams as they will be contracts expiring this year so don't hurt the teams long term.
We'll have to give up more in the Columbus trade but I like wishful thinking. Sending Engvall makes sense in my mind as Columbus is a team not taking on a full rebuild. We might see Dermott traded as well as there's a decent chance he will be sacrificed in the Seattle draft as well.
I know there likely needs to be more room for another forward on the roster. I'm not sure that's Dubas's plan though. There's definitely a reason he just decided to scratch Vesey. I think he's looking to cutting the paid roster down to a minimum.

Also very pleased at how close to the cap this comes. Feels very Dubas-esque.
