Détails additionnels:
LAK have no pipeline in net, Cal Peterson is almost 26 years old, and isn't the goalie of the future. Quick is 35 and will be a good mentor for DiPetro for his final two years of his contract. They also get a top 9 winger in Virtanen who has potential to be a top 6 forward.

Everything being said and shown on the ice currently is that Cal is the foreseeable future for the Kings in net. If that seems to not be the case when they become contenders again, maybe they make a change. But they aren't trading their 2nd best defenseman for it; not now, or in a couple years. Much more likely that they look at picking up Wallstedt in the upcoming draft with where they are likely to be placed. In addition, the Kings have absolutely no need for another "top 9 winger", which is a great way of saying bottom 6 forward. He has no value to LA in a trade like this. Thanks though.

Moves weird? Please elaborate, I've never seen anything from him indicating he "moves weird"

Yes, I do think he is the future. He almost stole Quicks job earlier this season then Quick picked up his game. Both are very solid for us right now. This is Petersens first season in the NHL (minus the 9 games he had after last years deadline) and he already looks like a starter.

Age doesn't mean anything for goalies as most dont crack the NHL until they are 24-26. Binnington is a good example of a late bloomer.

Using age and "moves weird " to justify and convince me the Kings making this lopsided trade is somehow a good idea doesn't work.
