I am not even sure from the jets perspective if I would do Poolman and Beaulieu for Merrill and Djoos. I don't know why there is a second round pick on top of that.

Poolman’s played like 7 games and will be a ufa , doubt hes a big part of the jets future , beaulieu is an offensive defensmen and has 1 pt im sure the jets would part with him if they could , im sure the jets would want a better upgrade on their d corps but they have no money

Trading two replacement level defenders for two replacement level defenders and a 2nd?

The Jets need defencemen for the right side more than the left. Add to that the 14 day quarantine and I can't see how this is exciting for the Jets as they would be down two defensemen for 5-7 games. The Red Wings net a 2nd rounder, so I see why they would do it.
