2021-22 oilers. yes, i'm already looking ahead to next year. hopefully we can finally build a real team then. my first priority was fixing the defence and goaltending. brought in one of the biggest fish in free agency in dougie hamilton and got grubauer to form a solid tandem with koski. i brought back nuge (#KeepNugeForever) and resigned yamo. then i brought a bunch of depth players so we even have nhl-calibre players on non-roster. giving some young players like bouchard and benson a chance in the nhl as well. traded khaira and marody to the leafs for a fifth rounder. neither side gets anything particularly useful there but maybe we get a fifth round hidden gem. i also simulated the expansion draft in which i traded a first round pick in order for seattle to take james neal and his massive contract. it is a high price to pay but i'd rather have the money to sign hamilton, grubauer, nuge, and yamo than a first round pick.
