Cirelli is a very good player. I still believe the love gets isn’t fair. He’s been a third line center in Tampa and why do people believe a player who hasn’t hit 50 points will be a 2nd kind center elsewhere? His production might predicate off that juiced lineup and sheltered role.

Same reason NYR fans think Strome would be anything but a 35 point player anywhere else. Cirelli's 44 points in 68 games would be Strome's 2nd best season. One just turned 23. The other 27.

Ottawa passes on a 2nd, 3rd and 7th for Strome and Smith...

I don’t know what it is your going on about but I don’t think highly of Strome whatsoever. They shouldn’t have even handed him the Qualifying Offer.

You can still trade him for assets if you qualify, cant lose him for nothing, we can always walk away from the arbitrators verdict

Strome just came off a 60 point season, do you really believe some knuckle head arbitrator is going to know how much of that production was Artemi Panarin’s doing? No. He’s going to get paid. Rangers will leave the table after they here that skyscraper offer. Not a single team will deal with Strome. Way to much risk.

60 points will get him 6 max which even then is affordable for 1 year, no one what jeff gortons standard for too much is

It doesn’t have to be Jeff Gorton who determines it... More so, the bonus money, dead cap room, minimal cap room. This team still has an entire defense and center core to repair.

we're in no rush, this is yet another development year, but now for the defense, and the buyouts go down by 9 mil next year

I understand. This season however is not one to throw away. Jack Johnson and their quiet offseason scream bottoming out rather than “development year”. I use that term very loosely, I think Rangers Co. want to tank.

Seems insane to think after the late season strides we made, gotta trust that JG knows what hes doing
