lol 89 points in 116 games for the Hawks and Strome gets 1.5? lol ....at least triple that....Kubalik will get 5 ish in my opinion on a 3 year deal

So... As a Hawks fan, I must say, this roster sucks looking at it. And that is probably the roster we start opening day with. I'm not dissing your work here, just pointing out prepare for another bad season because this could likely be the actual roster.

Kubalik and strome both get more than that- they can probably both ask for at least 4 mil.

Some good things to look for: A rebound season from the Cat, and the further development of Dach and Boqvist. There is some good upside for this team, but they're going no where if they can't figure out the team defense. No more 50 shots against every night. I'm not sold on this coach, and I don't think anyone is.

No way Strome gets triple that in this current flat cap world plus the fact he has zero arbitration rights. Maybe, and that's a big iff, he might approach 2-2.5 million depending on term. Kubalik might be a bit low in my estimate, I could see him closer to 4 million. 5 million? Not a chance. He's had one season and still didn't even hit 50 points. Guys like Dadonov at 4 million AAV or Buchnevich at 3.2 are some comparables. Personally I think Bo Horvat at 5.5 is a stretch on the high end.

Well, looks like I was pretty darn close on Kubalik. We'll see if they still decide to sign a veteran goalie, seems really strange they'd roll with 3 young unproven netminders. And I still think Strome comes in far lower than everyone thinks. I could see him approaching 2 million - 2.5, but not more than that.
