You give up Chytil and move back 35 spots for 1 year of Danault, who age and production wise, is not the center they should be targeting.

If this happens then Domi takes 3C. You can alternate Tatar and Chytil on the 2nd-3rd line

I don't know where you came up with this information, if you have a source please show it to me. From watching 90%+ of the Rangers games this year, I am pretty confident that that's not the case. He played with Kreider and Buchnevich (who are both wingers) while Zibanejad was out. He got some run with Panarin and Fast (both wingers) early in the season and then ended up playing with the Diaper Line (Howden - Chytil - Kakko) for a long time, where Howden was on the wing. We know Howden was on the wing because David Quinn explicitly said they were moving Howden to the wing to simplify the game for him, since he was struggling as a center. Then they moved Howden down to the 4th line and put PDG on the LW there (PDG - Chytil - Kakko) looking to get a defensively responsible presence on that line. He did play some games on the wing, and was moved to the wing at some point in the series against Carolina, but he did not play "primarily" on the wing.
