The Kerfoot and Butcher picks are funny because they both stayed an extra year in college so Kerfoot can avoid playing for the Devils and Butcher can avoid playing for the Avs (Patrick Roy told him he'd never be a NHL player). So they signed as free agents with Kerfoot going to the Avs and Butcher to the Devils.
