According to Bob McKenzie the Rangers are asking for a 2nd round pick and possibly another piece. That’s steep but understandable with the deadline “Fast” approaching. I know that WSH is close to the cap, but they played a game 750k in the hole according to CapFriendly. So they obviously have more space than is being reported probably due to the paper AHL moves they constantly made in the beginning of the season to save space. This move only adds 100k to the cap. Fast is a very strong defensive forward and could help fix the team defense problem. He has the ability to play all over the lineup and forechecks and backchecks with effort. He’s trusted with key defensive zone starts and offensively he will go to the front of the net. What do you think of the fit and price?
