I project this as the Habs' opening game lineup. I think a battle between Lehkonen and Reway for a 3rd line role can be easily possible. I say Lehkonen ends up winning the spot after preseason games.

We also all expect a matchup between Condon and Montoya for the backup goalie job. I see both getting it done well but only one spot is available. So instead of losing a decent backup on waivers, I think Bergevin will make a trade with a team needing a net minder security (preseason injury for example). Trading Condon to San Jose for a middle round pick would be something possible in this case.

Then Redmond will clear waivers as well as Flynn.

After these moves the number of players on the roster will drop to 23 which will bring us to the 2016-17 opening game.
