Bennett's salary will be $945,000. Qualifying offer for over $600,000 and under $1mil is 105% previous salary.
Fehr is a possibility, but highly unlikely. I've heard nothing now of the Pens moving Sutter. But they have said they're still looking for a 4th line center.
GMJR has already said they expect Plotkinov to fill a top six role. I can almost guarantee he'll play along side Malkin, as they have been linemates in international play.
Oshi is also a stretch now, as the Pens don't have much else to move in a trade, unless the Blues would actually want Sutter.
Gonchar does not need to be anywhere near this roster. We've had enough of the declining defensemen getting in the way of the younger guys (Orpik, Scuderi). Let the younger guys play. They are a nice inexpensive cap hit. And you know they'll play better than Scuderi for sure, and probably Gonchar at this point.
I don't see Perron taking Kunitz's spot on Crosby's wing. Crosby likes Kunitz being there.
I'm thinking this may end up pretty close to the opening day roster (except the Scuderi buyout - that's just wishful thinking on my part. I, sadly, fully expect Scuderi to take one of the six D spots to start the year...)
