Can anyone give me the run down on Romanov? Ive always heard great things, but when I look at his stat sheet its not incredible

Second round pick, started playing in the KHL when he was 18. KHL is known for not allowing young guys to get a ton of playing time so it's hard to judge his stats in the K. He won best defensemen of the world Juniors last year as an 18 year and has another tourney to go. Not a ton of offensive upside but definitely projects to be a 2-4 defenseman. But you never know. Either way he is our top defenseman prospect

its rare for teens to put up good point totals, let alone dmen. podkolzin, a recent top 10 pick has no points in 11 games in the khl. its a rough league for young guys

He might never put up huge points in the NHL but he is very mobile, supposedly has great defensive awareness and hits everything that moves. Could be more of an elite shutdown defender than a PP whiz. He is hands down considered the Habs best defensive prospect but then again you never know until he actually plays in the NHL.
