Description

Not a fan of the team, but not sure any fan base had a more roller coaster day... With the free agents that reportedly declined Detroit as a option, could this be the start of aregressing Detroit?

Pulled off a blockbuster with buffalo to get the RHD this team needs and to shed salary. Get a nice top-4 RHD in Bogosian, a offensive dman in Franson, and a nice prospect in Rodrigues. Detroit sends buffalo the PPQB they want in Green, a solid 1B goalie in Howard, and a great youngster in Athanasiou to get Buffalo to take on Howard and Greens money.

Another trade to get a cheap, young goalie in Detroit in Berube. Used one of Detroits 10000 forwards to do so.

Quick little rant: WHY DOES DETROIT HAVE SO MANY FORWARDS!?!?

I like the idea, but I see a few problems with your trade.
1) I'm not sure Buffalo wants to eat the cap hits of Green and Howard with so much young talent that will need to be paid soon
2) I think we could get an asset (something, anything) for Howard during the season if the goalie market works out right, so I don't see the need to sell him for negative value now

And I have no idea why we signed so many forwards, other than the fact that we must be making a trade.
