With Gardiner signing, Canes will likely move a blueliner. Faulk is likely, but another possibility would be TVR, who's also in the final year of his contract and seems doubtful to be signed with young talent emerging in Charlotte.
The other thing that I'd recommend is use Necas as PP specialist (as RH shot) but otherwise limit his minutes until you move him up the line up later in the year due to injuries or performance. Wallmark will actually be a great fit for Necas to start (whereas Necas isn't ready for Aho's line, wouldn't work on Staal shut down role, and gets bumped out of Haula's line by more experienced players. Dzingel really takes his spot in the top 6 - for now). Or just send Necas to Charlotte, but I think being only RH shot keeps him in Raleigh.
