Deep at center, deep at LW, decent at RW, deep at RD, one of the best goalies in the world. Caufield's shot could single handedly make Habs PP not a laughing stock of the NHL. They are a playoff team.
Uhh.. I'm not sure what team you're looking at to call them deep in all those positions, but I am looking at the Canadiens roster here, and they are not deep in any position at all. They have 1-2 solid D, a few good forwards, and 1 stud goalie. An awful team? No. But calling them deep at C, with Danault, KK, and Poehling as their top 3 isn't necessarily ideal. Look at the division they're in, compare this to Stamkos, Point, Johnson. Then, Matthews, Tavares, Kerfoot. Bergeron, Krejci, Coyle. Heck, even Barkov, Trochek, Borgstrom. Again, are they bad? No. But to say they're deep at some of the positions you mentions, when comparing them to their division (let alone the entire league) is a bit ridiculous...
