Resign Ferraro and Stempniak for $1.5 mil and $3.5 mil respectively. Resign Krug for about $4.5 mil and trade Krejci, a great passing center, to a western conference team probably losing Backes with a surplus of D-men and two great shooting wingers (Tarasenko and Schwartz) and throw in the second because Krejci has a high cap hit. Sign Stamkos if he goes to free agency for aprx. $10 mil (he said if he leaves Tampa he wants to go to a hockey city ie. Boston, Toronto, Detroit or Buffalo - who probably doesn't want to handicap their future with a Stamkos contract.). Buyout Seidenberg and it would make sense that one of the B's prospect D-men will be ready for next year whether it be O'Gara or Carlo or someone else who was back and forth last year like Colin miller. Stamkos can play wing or center so you can try him with Bergy and Marchand or have him play with Spooner or something. Also, if they extend Marchand before next year he'll probably only go up to $6 mil. You're left with very little cap space but can fill the rest of the lineup with organizational depth from the ahl, etc. plus you'd also be able to add Randell back for dirt if you're looking for another fourth line solution. Next year Chara's cap drops or will be gone if he retires which adds another 3-7 million in cap space which you use for Pasta, Spoons and Shattenkirk. Also don't rule out (but don't expect) that a few guys could work their way into roster spots on offense like Cehlarik or Czarnik for next year. Plus with the expansion draft you might be able to shed another player like Kevan Miller, McQuaid, Belesky or Hayes which would add some more cap to the b's arsenal. The expansion draft would be Boston's Savior.
