I think before taking that deal, he goes to Tampa and says, "hey, I have an offer for 10.5 on the table, but if you offer me 8.5 I'm making more money, so let's do that."

Less taxes doesnt equate to 2 million in savings lol. I get your point, but it doesn't work that way. Also he has point at 14.7 AAV lol

First off, yes it does. It quite literally does. over the course of that 7 year 10.5 million dollar deal Point would earn 34.4 million after taxes. In Tampa, a 7 year deal at 8.5 million would earn him 37.7 after taxes. Is this where I'm supposed to say, "lol," because I can't make a joke?

He has Point's offer sheet at 14.7, but that's because an offer sheet takes the total amount of money and averages it over a 5 year term to determine the compensation. The AAV of the contract is 10.5, as you can clearly see by glancing at the ACGM for half a second. Am I supposed to say lol again now? lol?

Where are you getting your numbers from? Florida taxes would have him at 5.1M take home per year at 8.5AAV. Times that by 7 and its 35.7. EL OH EL

The proposed offer sheet is for 14.7AAV

okay so you're struggling to get this I guess. I'll give you a little lesson in how offer sheets work. You can also just look it up on, you know, the site that you're currently on.

If an offer sheet is for a term greater than 5 years, the AAV for the purpose of offer sheet compensation takes the full amount of the contract, and calculates it over 5 years. So, let's say the Flames offer sign Point to a 7 year, 70 million dollar offer sheet (10 per year). Great, that's less than the four first rounders amount right? Wrong. You take that 70 million, and divide it by 5, and get 14 million. Four first rounders.

So, if you scroll up and read, you know, the ACGM that you are literally on right now, you'll see that they have an offer sheet for 14.7 million. Right above that, literally right above where you're getting your 14.7 million figure, it says
Offer sheet annual average (AAV) is calculated by dividing the contract value by the lower of: 1. The contract length, or 2. Five years

Literally the line above that, under Free agent signings, you'll see: Point, Brayden 7 years, 10.5 million cap hit.

Your reading comprehension skills are lol funny.

and my tax info is correct. yours is wrong. sorry.

How are you going to pay the other 2 players not on this roster yet? Also there is no way Calgary offer sheets anyone until at the very very least they get rid of the players you have going + 1 more. Also, IMO, Buffalo in no way gives a first away for the package, and what does Calgary get back from Colorado, or is there secret 3 way deal I can't see. Just having fun on here but curious for your reply.
