Tried basing it off of the Kadri to CGY swap that fell through
That trade was
TOR: Brodie (50% salary), Janko
CGY: Kadri (50% salary), Brown
TEAM 3: CGY 2nd, TOR 2nd, 50% of Brodie, 50% of Kadri
Kadri got 44 points which is 8 less than Kreider and he was playing 3rd line minutes. They have similar cap hits and Kadri's grit balances the on ice category if not tilting it in his favor. Kreider also has one year left but if an extension was in place than it would get closer value. Kreider also got 28 goals so overall I'd say Kadri = Kreider in trade value. Buchnevich is 9 points more than Brown but Buchnevich will likely be pricier so trade value is close IMO overall considering Kreider's term. The 3rd team part stays the same but you can' really show that the same in Cap Friendly so I just let the Rangers retain and created a Brodie to show his salary
