Teams where demanding the 8th OA++ to take on Lucic with nothing of value going to EDM a 1st,3rd,5th and unknown prospect and a diminishing prospect in bear not enough to take Lucic contract yet alone have a good 3C going back. , Lucic will be an oilers till at least the last year of his contract.

oilers pick still most likely to be towards the bottom so I think OTT takes a hard look at it they are most likely losing Pague next summer anyways as he is a UFA.
Bear took a step backwards but is still a solid prospect that can turn into a NHL play Hebig had a great 1st year as a pro. plus 2 more draft picks and it you can read in the description i did say you might have to add a bit more.

IF the picks is confirmed top 5 OTT MIGHT consider it for a fraction of a second, if its #2 they will do it otherwise its a no,. lucic contract is considered the WORST in the NHL, he can no longer play in the NHL and it is buyout proof and MUST be protected in the expansion draft so it will cost even more for teams to take him before the expansion draft as he will take the place of a player the team wants to keep.

Even if its not top 5 they would consider it. Also just like subban you can get players to remove drop or alter their no Movement and trade Clause that could be the case for lucic. He Can play in the NHL he is just not a 6 Million dollar player. if you think he cant play then you are seriously uneducated when it comes to evaluating players. He is no longer a top 6 player but does fill a role on a 3rd/4th line.
If OTT accepted it would be to trade him else where by retaining $$$ and keeping the other assets.
