It looks like priority is being put towards adding "quick fix" players instead of riding out a rebuild and locking down the young core. Bridging Brock is not smart especially if his numbers are going to be inflated playing with Pettersson. You would also have to sign Hughes, Boeser and Pettersson the same offseason

You're not wrong, but in 2 years Persson, Edler and Tanev are all off the books or at least reduced along with the cap moving up they should be able to manage that accordingly. Just what I would like to see since I got a fever and the only prescription is losing in the first round again.
