I think the Tampa deal could work for both teams. I don't see Carolina as giving up on Bean, but rather swapping out a D from a crowded field for an F with family ties and a decent pick in the draft. Vegas needs cap space. Miller is a 3rd pairing defensemen that was a healthy scratch at times. Giving up his salary for 2 prospects whose salary can be buried in the minors may work for them. Toronto does not have cap room for everyone. Yes, Kapanen is leaps and bound better than Glendening, but they need someone like Luke and they need the cap room. I would take Andreas Johnsson if that looks better.
