I like what you've done here but I am dubious that Hughes could hold down a 2C role right away. Also that is a really big contract for Ferland who has never had more than 41 points in a season and is oft-injured - big risk there with little reward imo.

Yea, I didn't like it as I was doing it. I think 4 x 4 or even 3-4 years at 5 might be a little more palatable. But its FA and overpayments happen. I think he could bring a nice physical presence to our lineup without necessarily being forced into top 6 minutes and he is 27 so I rationalized that even at 5 years, its not terrible from an age perspective.
