Leafs Roster Attempt no.4861 (Probably Biased and Definitely Unrealistic)

Description
Although this isn't realistic by any means (6 picks within the first 31) I do think it's somewhat plausible. I don't think any of these trades were complete steals for the Leafs. I know I went overkill on goaltenders but I think thats a position thats okay to do so, besides Wedgewood can start in the NHL, Samsonov in the AHL and Gustavsson in Europe for a couple years. I also know that by having this many picks TOR may not be very competitive this year as they would have had they traded the picks for some ready NHLers and signed Stamkos but it is plausible to have Kadri, Vesey, PA Parenteau, Matthews, Nylander and Bozak to score 20 goals each. As well with this lineup the Leafs can finally test how good their prospects are, so that in the next year they can shed dead weight and look to add established players into their lineup.

STL: St.Louis saves 1.7 million for roughly the same player and give a very late second round pick for it. Similar to Laich trade at deadline this year where WAS saved 2.25m by giving up a second pick and a good prospect.

WAS: Washington gets a good 3rd line center on a very cheap contract whos European puch possession game play could go well with their wingers. They also clear out Orpik's contract, who although not awful right now will start to seriously slow done in the last 3 years of his contract. Leafs throw in a cheaper alternative for WAS's bottom pairing defense. Caps don't need Samsonov right now as Holtby will be playing a star role for some considerable time.

NJD: NJ gets a top line goal scorer on a really good contract and upgrade their 3rd pick to a second for their pick outside the top 10 and a goaltender whos 23 and is stuck between Schneider and Blackwood.

DET: Detriot gets rid of 5 million in cap space by downgrading their pick 40 spots. (nearly 6 million if Greening is in minors)

CAR: Carolina has a ton of draft picks and could use another elite finish winger to really bolster their attack this year, they give up a late first round pick.

Zero chance on that CAR trade.
Zero chance on that DET trade.. why would Det move his contract, pay you a first road pick AND take on a bad contract in return??

Detroit saves nearly 6 million dollar of cap space with that trade, and all they do is move down 41 spots, considering theres not many takers for Datsyuk's contract they don't have many options, many TSN analysts predict that it will take a first round pick or a second plus some of their prospects.
Also Carolina trade was iffy but i don't think there's zero chance, not too many great options down that far in the draft that make the pick extra special, also considering the financial mess CAR is in they are under some pressure to start winning a bit sooner and thats what Kapanen does, what Carolina gets from this is a prospect that was drafted around there who has progressed well (you have to consider that players drafted that late don't always become NHL players, where there is a better chance that Kapanen does). Also Kapanen played in the same leagues in Finland as some of their big stars, this could help them create some early chemistry.

I like this strategy. We can dispute specific trades but, I think this direction would lead to a
        great future!
