The Tampa trade seems really bad for Buffalo.

Agreed - it looks similar to the St.Louis trade last year where the other team gets the best player (Ristolainen) with 2 high draft picks and the Sabres not only take on spare parts but absorb 2 cap dumps for over-30 players (Kilhorn and Callahan) in the process.

If there's a Buffalo-Tampa trade this offseason, I'd tend to believe it's a simpler type of package (i.e. Ristolainen for Miller + 1 cap dump + draft pick) or just a straight-up cap dump for draft pick. That said, I'd rather the Sabres not take on another bad contract until they figure out a solution to get rid of Okposo's contract.

I had this idea, that after this season, they can trade Ullmark with Okposo to Ottawa, who can afford his contract. And Luukkonen will replace Ullmark

Okposo has a 15-team, NTC for the life of his contract - you can bet that Ottawa will be one of those teams he refuses to be traded to.

Then there's probably no chance of trading him Or have you some idea?

For all of that cap crap we take on in the Tampa trade, we don't even get Cernak/Sergachev/Raddysh?
