This is just an idea I had from an @NHLdiscussion instagram post, give them a follow lol... Very bare bones of an idea so please don't rip me a new one lol
The idea is that it is after next season and Hall is a UFA not planning on sticking with the Devils! Honestly idk about the contract, but I figured it is something around that lol... its the idea though that counts. MOST IMPORTANTLY IS THE NEXT PART: Hall is known for getting the first overall pick, so the idea is that will the LW taken, bruins trade debrusk to a "hopeful/rebuilding" (bottom 15 to 5) team for their first, and Hall works his magic!
Chara is gonna likely retire soon I'm guessing, if not this could be changed fairly easily though.
Other than that, Keyser will be ready, Stud will be ready, Urho will be ready, Clifton will solidify his game, Kuhlman will be great alongside krejci again like he was this season!
This is either a sign and trade, or a deal that happens this offseason... Either way Krug is worth a first and maybe even more based on his playoff performance this year
As far as Krug? He will be missed, but you have Grizzly pretty much following his exact path, but might be just a little more skilled overall, he will perfectly fill that role... As far as his spot, Urho will be ready for the call

Détails additionnels:
I Friggin love Kevan Miller, but as its been pointed out, he is gonna be a UFA soon, so this trade happens this offseason and he goes to really any team that wants him. Why not Moore? Well Clifton can fill Miller's role, and Moore is locked up to a longer and cheaper deal, best to keep that great deal while it lasts!
THIS IS THE BIG ONE... I have done this a few times and many have agreed. Backes will not go to the yotes, so his NTC doesn't matter, the idea is that they will then send him to a team he wants to go to (STL to finish his career?) for more in return! Yotes get picks and prospects, bruins free up space, blues get a cheaper leader/3rd liner (and idk maybe that bruins 3rd rounder)
This is what I was talking about: Imagine a two line punch with Kakko and then Debrusk... But for this next year, the rangers will still be ok (not bottom 5 so they probably would be willing to give up the pick, but probably not a contender)... Hall then works his magic, and poof first overall
