TOR
With all the rumors about TOR talking with LAK and ARI about a Marleau trade, makes me think Marleau must be ok with waiving his NTC for a non-playoff team. So why not DET? He'd get minutes, still on a non-playoff team, but closer to his family which I would imagine stays in TOR. Easier for them to visit during the season. DET could even flip him at the TDL to a playoff team for a mid to low round pick. Get those assets!!

Also has history with Yzerman as GM of Team Canada.

If you disagree, don't kill me. Just forget this trade happens.

Would there be another prospect/player you'd swap Bean for?

Marleau's family is supposed to be moving back to the West Coast so he'll waive to move to a Western Conference team close to his family.

So the Leafs deal wouldn't work unfortunately.

You’re right about them moving back to SJ but I’m not sure if that limits where he is traded to only Western conference. I’m sure both he and thevleafs would rather a deal with a western conference team though.

I think the proposed trade here is very fair.

Oh it's definitely fair, I'm just paraphrasing what Nick Kypreos said a couple days ago.

Ok, missed the memo on his family moving to the west. Makes sense now it's only west teams being talked about.

Still would do the deal as a wings fan. They should be using any free cap space this season to take on one year deal dumps for assets.
