Habs have filled the prospect cupboard nicely over the past couple seasons, Marc bergevin maybe utilizes this years 1st in a trade for a top 4 LHD to play with Weber, who can also help the powerplay.
Anaheim picks up young forward depth in lehkonen along with the pick, which can be used to start restocking their pipeline.
Habs also dump alzner contract on the sens, who will most likely be looking to add salary to reach the salary floor, and alzner honestly plays in ottawa’s Top 4 next season, as well as Jake Evans, who may be NHL ready (especially in the sens organization) as early as next season.
Habs don’t usually sign any large name UFA’s, but Noel acciari seems like a prototypical bergevin signing, giving the team further depth in the bottom 6 (with potential cup pedigree)
Both Suzuki and poehling probably start the season with the habs, but play the majority of season in the AHL.
Potential trade bait as the season goes along:
Cale fleury (habs have pretty good depth on the right side) Jonathan Drouin (if he can’t find consistency in his game)
