        Don't see the Wings giving up Svechnikov, ouilliet fairly unlikely too. They are in their top 5 prospects, svechnikov maybe being the top after mantha. Why is olesky getting $4M?

        $4m for an AHL defenseman? $4.75m for a bottom six winger? you're buying out tomas nosek (of all people) and managed to trade away the untradable ericsson for a nothing draft pick? please tell me you're just goofing around here.

        You have to have more Respect for guys who have won the Cup. Oleksy brings Detroit experience of a Cup Winning defenseman. Also, he is better than Ericsson. The Nosek thing must have been something I missed when adding him to a trade. I wouldn't buy him out. Ericsson is as untradeable as Dan Girardi... but there might be a random team out there that wants a crappy contract for a throw away pick.. You just never know... The Versteeg signing was to help me put Franzen on LTIR at a better rate.

        Truthfully, you can only make so many of these things before you just start messing around. But Oleksy is still a better option than Ericsson.
