That Penguins trade makes no sense for the Rangers and completely ignored the fact that they have been rebuilding

This is my idea of what a trade for Malkin/Letang would look like if they were to go for it. I am quite aware of the rebuilding process my preferred team is going through.

Adding Malkin, Letang, Trouba and Panarin no way in hell will Gorton be that active. Trouba isn't signing that low with the Rangers he wants $8 million from any team not named Detroit. He'll sign that low with the Wings but no one else.
