And also, before you call him a 4th liner, look up his stats from this past season.

I could be 1st line in Ottawa. also id probably put up 20 goals with Mcdavid + Leon.

30 years old, played his best hockey since he was 25 last year. hes maybe a 3rd liner. but he had 10 pp points last year because he played for ottawa. so 27 even strength or shorthanded points. in 70 games... he isnt playing pp for most teams in the league. if i hadnt gotten kassian i woulda gone after ennis but 2m maximum for 2 or 3 years.

He was on pace for almost 20 goals the year before, anyway ... I know I overpaid him. I'm not arguing that ... but tbh I thought I'd have to pay him that much to sign him knowing how much teams like to overpay UFAs in this game.

feel like at this point in the game picks/prospects might not get you a top 4 dman since the people with top 4 dmen typically dont want picks/prospects

At this point in the game, it needs to be decided if there will be a year 3 or will there be v5 after the upcoming season.

If there's no year 3, picks/prospects are virtually useless in the game from now until the end of season.

There will be a yr 4 and 5
