Isn't crazy when the masses know more than the people running teams? Like it seemed obvious, don't sign Jack Johnson to a long term deal. Don't sign Orpik to a long term deal (though that kind of worked). But the higher ups still do it.

Cause they over think the simple things. They swing for the fences and think they “see” something in players that 99% of the hockey world doesn’t see. exhibit A: Peter Chirelli. Like I said many times before, if I had posted a Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson armchair GM post a day before it happened I would’ve been RIPPED to shreds on this website. Yet somehow, a GM thought that was the “best” move for his hockey club. There’s a lot of politics involved in the hockey world.
