Regardless of playing with McDavid or Draitsaitl, he’s in his upper 30’s. Even when he was playing with Kopitar (who isn’t McDavid) he still wasn’t producing. In regards to Lucic and Sekera the Kings are trying to get younger, I don’t think they would trade for two players who are in there mid 30s regardless if they’re also getting a 1st rounder

Sekeras gone in 2 years and they draft 2 highly touted LHD to replace him and Phaneuf and use that 2020 pick to get forward help. Part of getting younger is developing that talent, for most players it wont happen over night, itll take 2 or 3 years
