Realistic Lightning Offseason

Description
Ryan Callahan:
Ryan Callahan has waived his Modified NMC to go to back to the NYR. Callahan is a bonified leader and can help all the young guys in New York learn to be professionals to get them back to the playoffs. The rangers also get a young prospect in Boris Katchouk who has amazing playmaking upside. The Lightning also give up a 2020 2nd Round Pick to help out while the Rangers exchange that for a 2020 4th Round Pick and a 2020 7th Round Pick which they have two others already (NSH and VAN).

Brayden Point:
Brayden Point signs a larger scale bridge deal to keep the team together. This bridge deal is
larger than Kucherov’s a couple of years ago but for a good reason. Kucherov scored 66 points his contract year, while Point is projected to score around 90 this season. The larger bridge deal is in hopes of creating a dynasty and keeping the core together which is Brayden Point’s personality, all about the team.

Dan Girardi:
After another great season with the Lightning Dan Girardi re-signs to a small one year deal in hopes of, like Brayden Point, creating a dynasty. The monster shot blocker helps round out the bottom pairing with Sergachev.

Cedric Paquette and Adam Erne:
These two young guys both come back to Tampa on two year team friendly contracts. These guys do it all for you including hitting, bringing energy, and chipping in some goals. Erne and Paquette are great people to round out the offensive depth.

You'll be surprised this off-season. Can't see him getting more than 8.5-9m in Tampa. Elsewhere is different story, but he wants to stay in Tampa & wants to win.

yeah every player in the league wants to win thats the whole point of playing the game but money talks i dont see Point leaving 3-4 million dollars/year on the table when another team could easily offer sheet him for that....

he was voted by the players #2 most underrated player the the league maybe he wants to be the #1 somewhere and not be overshadowed by Kuch, stammer, hedman, vasilevskiy

Money doesn't talk, it gives you **** to talk about. Winning the Stanley Cup isn't something you can buy, or can pay to talk about. It needs to be won, and only the league's best teams have legit chances year in & year. I can only hope Pointer has already realized this, but it is a fact that he wants to play & stay in Tampa Bay. Don't hold your breathe for an offer sheet, it ain't gonna be coming. Not for Pointer at least.

Can you link me to the most underrated players poll? I can't find anything that included Pointer. Not disagreeing on his skill level, just couldn't find a link.

I found a 2016-17 video but that's the youtuber dude's picks, not NHL player's picks. Not really that important of a discussion, Point is studly regardless, I just was curious to read the players voting him #2 most underrated.
