I'm not sure Faulk for Nuge would go through, especially considering Carolina is not great on defense as it is, and they have 2 solid Centers manning the top 2 lines in Skinner and Jordan. Not sure about the Yak trade, can a NJD fan weigh in? Okposo is worth way more than 4.5, he'll want 7m at least. Look at his numbers. Lol sure take Brian Flynn off our hands, he's useless anyway.

I actually forgot to sign the RFA's, which I've done now. For Nuge-Faulk, I'm really looking at them as major pieces in a deal with some spare parts. Even though Nuge is a natural pivot, Bill Peters could play him on wing -- and Steve Smith is a big fan of the Nuge. I'm not sure about the Yak trade either, but there could be a way to pry Severson from NJD. You're right about Okposo -- knowing that McDavid, Draisaitl and Nurse will need to be signed, the most the Oilers should pay for Okposo is $4.5M, but Calgary will likely pay $7M for him. The team will still need a 2RW, so perhaps they sign Stempniak for $2.0M-ish and see how it goes. Purcell might be willing to come back for less than $4.5M as well.
