The Panarin trade is a trade that could make sense IF Stone agreed to resign but the LA trade makes no sense for the Kings, they give away Quick and are screwed if Bob didn’t sign with them. Too much of a gamble in both trades for the GM’s to bite IMO.

In my mind, the Panarin trade is conditonnal to an extansion for Stone.

In the other trade, I don't think LA would like to resign BOB. They could get something for him at the deadline and they would get rid of Quick. Quick is still good, but LA is in a reconstruction and Quick doesn't fit (I don't even think they would protect him in the upcoming Seatle expansion).

Imagine they can trade him at the deadline to FLO for Reimer and Tippett, so it would basically be Quick+Clifford VS Bjorkstrand, Reimer and Tippett, It would be huge for them.

I haven't seen Panarin for Stone yet...that's interesting. However the LA trade isn't really something Columbus would do, I don't think.

The way I see it, Bob isn't going to sign a new contract with CLB, so if they keep him, they are going to loose him for nothing (AKA John Tavares).
CLB have a good team and they must have a good goalie if they want to compete in the years to come. A Quick VS Bob + ... maybe isn't the optimal situation for them, but maybe it's better than nothing.
