Well what happens if DET signs him to an offer sheet for $4,000,000. Marner is expecting $10.5-$11 million per year, and they still have RFAs Ozhiganov and Johnsson as well as wanting to sign UFA Gardiner? That's going to be tough, although they could potentially move another key player in a panic.
