I think you forgot to sign Burakovsky. Also, why not try to trade Ryan for Seabrook or Keith? You’ll need a second pairing D on both sides.

Few people do, but it’s overhyped IMO. The term is annoying, but I’d be shocked if they didn’t retain a bit on him. He’s still a thirty point D who can play well in the bottom four. That’s not too bad. He’s overpayed by about 3.5-4 million. Ryan is overpayed by the same amount. Retain 1-2 million on Seabrook for the term and it should be an even trade. You might even get an A prospect for doing the trade.

If they do that, might be worth it from Ottawa especially if they pick up a prospect. Just dont see it as a fit from either side. Could see Chicago paying Seattle to pick Seabrook during the expansion draft IMO
