Any chance to get these somehow integrated in the Armchair GM mode? I think the Hawks receive a 750k penalty for going over the cap and some teams even more, so it would be good to have these in the calculations.

I just realized I probably should have posted this in the Site Discussion sub-forum.

Either way, I just wanted to add that it's hard to find any reliable information online about bonus overage. We do know teams can go over the cap with their player bonuses, and then get slapped with a carryover penalty. But this is not public information. Chicago beat writers are saying the Hawks were under the cap and don't have overage to deal with. Doesn't match with information given on other "cap sites".

Bettman and the league should just get their PR to enter this century, and instead of dripping information have a part of the official site dedicated to verified contract information and details. Pre-cap era no-one cared, but now it totally sucks to not have cap situations fully disclosed.

We've looked into it and it appears to be a rumour started by a Chicago sports radio personality.

Doesn't appear to be a bonus overage penalty from the information we have gathered, and a few sources we have talked to.

Kimmo Timonen reached a games played bonus, but it did not cause a cap penalty for the Blackhawks, according to a source.

Stan Bowman said the #Blackhawks have $750,000 in bonus overages from last season. That'll count against the cap this coming season.

Other teams are:
Detroit: $740,000
Boston: $969,000
St. Louis: $535,000
