Im on board with the Silfverberg trade so long as they will be able to fit him under the cap for next year if they plan on resigning him.

These are the types of depth based moves that win championships, not blockbusters. Good trades.

I don't see why ANA accepts that trade for Silfverberg. They surely could get a better offer from another team in search of a T6W. The Letestu trade is not necessary. Bruins have more than enough 4th line plugs. He's not even in the NHL right now.

Pick two "B" prospects and add the 2nd rounder. I have no idea which of the dozen or so prospects the Bruins have that Ana might want, you tell me what Silfverberg will garner in a trade.

Letestu is exactly the type of depth player you add at the deadline. Plays wing and center, right hand shot, cheap, expiring contract and a vet. Got 35 points two years ago and he might cost a 5 rounder at the most. Don't see how they could go wrong with him, could be a Riley Nash. What's the chances of a 5 or 6 draft pick having any type of nhl career? 5% maybe. You get some insurance for your bottom six for a playoff run. Well worth the draft pick.

I couldn't tell you what he will garner, but I'm willing to bet he lands ANA a better package than Cehlarik + 2nd. Cave is a plug who doesn't hold any value in a trade.

We don't need anymore depth acquisitions....Especially of the Letestu ilk. He's not even an NHLer player at the moment. He's not going to come in here and be a better option than what we already have. Why waste the draft pick? Hell.... If you're really after depth, why not trade a 5th/6th rounder for a similar type bottom 6 plug who is actually in the NHL?

So why don't you tell us what "YOU" think Silfverberg would cost from the Bruins?

Why don't "YOU" provide "US" with a bottom six player that has scored 11 points in a playoff run and scored 35 points in the regular season two years ago that could be obtained for a low draft pick. He might not be in the NHL now. I don't know why, do you?

I don't know specific prices, but I feel they'd want a better prospect than Cehlarik.. So a Bjork or Donato.

He scored 11 points in the playoffs and was playing 17 minutes a night for EDM during that run. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want a 33 year old Mark Letestu, who couldn't make it in the NHL this season, playing 17 minutes in the playoffs for the Bruins. It feels like a trade just to make a trade. I don't want another trade for depth. Bruins have enough depth in the NHL and the AHL. I want legit players coming in.... So a Top 6 W and a legit NHL 3LC. Not a "lets give it a shot," Letestu type move.

My issue with getting "legit" players is that they cost a lot to acquire and they cost a lot against the cap. Bruins have some RFA players looking for new contracts (McAvoy, Carlo, Heinen), that will make it tight against the cap. A Saad or Schenn will cost quite a bit. Boston has a well stocked system of prospects, in another year they could take a big step forward like the Pens did with Rust, Guentzel and Sheary or TB with Johnson, Gourde, and Palat. Some didn't work out, Kuhnhackle, or they gave up on, Marchessault, but none of them were high draft picks. I see Boston in a similar situation. Or they could end up like the return on the Seguin trade. We will see.

A cheap vet like Letestu could get 13 minutes a game and be a Nick Bonino for a playoff run.
