Minnesota and Nashville trades are both pretty bad.
Minnesota is already fine with their defense. It's the forwards they need. Especially top 6 forwards. Coyle is an interesting Swiss Army knife kinda player who can be but into many different roles and lines but we already those kind of players and they cost less money. Foligno and and Brown are both 4th line players and I'd say Karlsson is better than both of them. Or at least he fulfills his role on the team and his line well. But the biggest question for me is why Minnesota would want Vlasic at the moment. It just doesn't fit. And Vlasic has NMC so the team he would be willing to waive his clause has to be good.
Then the Nashville trade: I just don't get why Nashville would want to give Bonino, who is their staple roster player for Thornton who is going to retire after this season (he has to!). And Thornton will end his career in San Jose. Plus, the trade includes two draft picks?
I mean, you're not THAT off with the trade values, but I just don't get these trades cause the values aren't the only thing in these trades you have to consider.
