San Jose actually has a lot of cap space for next year. They would have re-signed Marleau probably for more money but he chose Toronto over them. So I don't think they would be "blowing up" anything.

Again another Marleau trade. 1st off you kill your arguement when you said, he choose to sign with Toronto over San jose, why would he wave to go back? He would not.

2nd have you looked at the SanJose cap structure?

They will have made 28 million to sign

Meier. 3.0
Karlsson. 10.0
And about 5 million to sign 7 more players, so No they do not have the cap space.

He left to win a cup, and Toronto gave him a 3rd year nobody else was offering. So he may waive if Toronto wins the cup this year. Karlsson won't re-sign there. He's gonna be in Tampa Bay with his buddy Hedman. The Burns/Karlsson duo doesn't work. So yes it is fantasy, like every other post on here.
