Description
It was from Eklund so I doubt it's real but he mentioned Trouba going to Toronto for Nylander and then Nylander going to Philly for Sanheim. I'm guessing Philly would have to add something but what do you guys think

That I have to disagree with. Nylander for Trouba isn't too bad a deal. You add those pieces and it's a no brainer for Toronto. As for the actual rumour (if it's even fair to call it that), the Jets would get the worse end of it IMO

It's a Eklund rumor so it isn't true. That being said I'd jump all over that as a Flyers fan. Would probably move him to 3C though instead of RW (Simmonds on the 4th?) and bump Laughton down to 4th. Our top 9 would be scary good.

What I'm not understanding is why include Philly at all??

Btw Trouba gets the shaft considering he just said he doesn't want to stay in Canada apparently

With camp around the corner, and Toronto fielding one of the top 3 forward groups in the NHL, rumors are starting to really prosper...For the Leafs, there is still no Nylander deal on the horizon...the sides aren't even close and it could get dicey really soon...

Were only Nylander a right hander D-man...But out there sits right a handed shooting, solid all-around, Jacob Trouba...signed, but not committed long term to the Jets...

Obviously, the Jets NEED to acquire a D-man for Trouba....they are also stacked on the scoring side of things....

I am told the Jets could swing a deal that lands them Nylander and then moves Nylander out for another solid d....possibly to the Flyers.

    From a source

"Quite simply, Toronto has the most they can offer for Trouba, even though that asset doesn't fit perfectly into the plans for the Jets...The Jets and Flyers have been talking. It is possible Nylander could be moved to Philly for Sanheim.. The Flyers are still looking for one more piece up front."

It is also possible that the Flyers could talk directly to Toronto and offer up a lesser D-man for Kapanan...who grew up in the Philly area...

    more to come..

    That's the whole article

Nylander will get done. He might miss some training camp but seriously who cares?

Trouba as of this moment Trouba doesn't want to play in Canada, why would Toronto trade 1 of their top players for a rental??? Whats next? Ehlers for Gardiner?

That "source" is full of crap. Leafs aren't trading any of their forwards to help on D. Maybe MAYBE Brown or Leivo but neither gets you Troubaor anything major. I'd say keep the team in tact and ride it out. Have some fun.
