You're overpaying. Them putting Gaborik into this trade is Ottawa trying cap dump Gaborik off their team. He doesn't really have value anymore. Karlsson himself is worth Hertl OR Braun, Praplan, a 1st and a 2nd. But then you add another roster player in the trade also and I don't really get why?

Figuring OTT wants Bobby R or Gaborik as part of the deal. EK is worth more than Braun and the rest. TH amcd the package minus Braun.... maybe.

Implicitly, EK must sign an extension for this to occur. Otherwise it is a massive overpayment for a rental. As a rental, a roster player and 1st is the ceiling.
