I would like to see another 3rd/4th line signing for this team, maybe a Steve Downie, Trevor Lewis, Matt Martin, or Dale Weise. YAndle wants to stay here so maybe he takes a discount, I could give him up to $5.5 but I think $5 is a good settling point. Miller earns a nice raise. Kreider gets his term and money. Hayes gets exactly what he deserves, low performance, low money. Maybe this contract slaps him in the face with reality, or maybe the Rangers trade him for a Jannik Hansen type player, not too old, experiences, and fast.
Yandle @ $5 million per doesn't seem right. That's a lower cap hit than he has now and he's a 50 point D-man. With his body of work the past 5+ seasons, he's looking at at least $6 million per I would think.
