May be a little biased because I am a wings fan but i like this trade. Wings would be looking for defence like beaudin after opting to pick two forwards in the draft. Dont know much about Krys but wouldnt doubt they try to fetch a 1st or 2nd instead of him and murphy if nyquist performs well through the first bit of the season (wings have enough lower tier defence and need to open up space for the younger guys to step up). All in all decent trade.

I don't think many teams are moving 1st and 2nds. Krys is a former 2nd rounder excelling at Boston University. Murphy is a good stay at home defenseman.

You're right, teams don't want to move firsts this year i'm just saying if he performs, its possible. Mostly thinking how a 1st went for hartman but yeah, different year.

That trade surprised me too. And it was more than just a 1st, a decent prospect and a 4th came with it.

lol no.a top 6 forward and a young forward with top 6 potential for a 5-6 defenseman and two more defensive prospects, which they don't need. Hronek, Hickets, Cholowski, and Saarijarvi are all talented young defensemen that can push for spots this year
