Here is what I'd hope to see tried early this coming season:
An experienced defensively responsible shut down line in Marleau, Kadri and Brown to take on other teams top talent. Babcock has let Kadri reinvent himself in that role and let the boy shine.
Hyman, Tavaras & Marner play effectively as our first line, taking on defensive responsibilities as well, but also running secondary units into the ground.
Leivo is finally given a chance to shine on the left wing of Matthews & Nylander. Give them some of those sheltered minutes JVR & Bozak had and let them crush.
Finally a speedy 4th line in Johnsson - Lindhom - Kapanen. Keep the pressure on everyone in the Top 9 to preform knowing that those two are knocking at the door but also forcing the two to "earn" their spot on the team. I know that they were both trusted in the playoffs whereas Leivo sat in the press box, but I'd say he's been a good soldier so let him play with the best, and at the very least, boost those numbers for a trade come the deadline.

For D, stealing from the Athletic, I'd dig a Gardiner - Reilly top 2 for the sake of an experiment. Let's try it and substitute as required.
Ennis sits in the Press Box until proven otherwise.
Keep Horton in for the Pref Bonuses that Marner & Matthews are going to earn this year so they don't carry over.
