Makes sense for both teams but only if both players sign extensions...

I think that both GMs are looking for a roster player, prospect plus a draft pick for their respective players so I would be surprised to see such a deal happen!

I don't totally disagree, but, from MTL's side : MB is used to 1 vs 1 of trade and rebuilding would be a failure for him. Just imagine in 2 years the real contender top 6 (with Kotkaniemi and Phoeling) !
