I'm a Montreal and after a Canadian team fan... and I don't think Pacio (UFA) and Shaw (always injured) are better then Kadri and Nylander. The deal to help the Leafs should be Weber for the 1st pick, but it's not enough , with the lineup the 1st pick will ne between 29 and 31

Guys look at the title to push for the cup you have to make difficult decision. The current roster is not balance and will not permit Stanley cup title that’s a fact. It’s nice to sign Tavares but that was not the highest priority on the leafs roster. They need to add a top 6 on the left side and a top D on the right. Also adding character with a winning player that nose what it takes to win the cup for me the Leaf have a balance roster to go all the way.

Don’t get me wrong I love Weber, when he blew that puck through the mesh in the olympics without even tearing it, crazy. But he’s 32... signed for 8m till he is 40, will be missing the first half of the season next year... and who knows how he will be after the knee surgery heals. Not worth it.
